AIC-ON Candidate Scholarship

About this scholarship

As the real estate landscape grows more complex and client needs continue to evolve, ongoing education is essential. The AIC-ON Continuing Education Scholarship is designed to empower designated members to expand their expertise, diversify their practice, and adapt to the changing demands of the profession. Through this scholarship, AIC-ON is investing in your professional growth—helping you strengthen your skills, broaden your services, and advance your career.

More about this scholarship

  • ​Five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each are available.

  • Toronto Chapter has added Five (5) additional $1,000 scholarships.

  • Scholarships can be awarded every year, but each recipient can only win once every two years.

Who can apply?
All AIC-ON candidate members who are in good standing, have not received the previous
years candidate scholarship, and live in Ontario.


How to apply?
1. Complete the application form (download the application form below).
2. Include the following with your scholarship application as individual attachments:

  • Receipt of course registration; PDF Format.

  • Proof of a formalized grade; course must be completed from Fall semester of 2025(Sept - Dec) or in Winter semester of 2026(Jan- April); PDF Format.

3. Submit the form and documentation via email to scholarship@aicontario.ca.

Submission Deadline
Submission deadline for the 2026 year is September 15, 2026.

 

Selection Process

  • The AIC-ON Governance & Nominations committee will review anonymized submissions.

  • The attached guideline will be used to select recipients.

  • Winners will be notified by AIC-ON Staff through email.

What you need to know

Courses that qualify

  • Only courses taken toward your chosen designation qualify for this scholarship, including:

    • AIC designation courses I.e. courses from University of British Columbia, Seneca College, University of Laval

    • University Courses to obtain a degree for designation

Courses that do not qualify

  • Webinars, Professional Practice Seminars, pre-requisite course Foundations of Real Estate Appraisal (AIC/BUSI 330) and AIC’s Introduction to Professional Practice (AIC102)

Scholarship waiver
By submitting this application, you acknowledge and agree that AIC Ontario may use your name, commentary, photographs, and/or video in any media format for lawful purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use in publicity materials, promotional campaigns, illustrations, advertisements, and website content. You understand that such use may
occur without further notice or compensation.


Guideline Scoring

  • Each application can receive a maximum of 25 points.

  • Applications will be ranked based on their total score.

  • In the event of a tie, the committee may consider written content quality and depth of engagement as tiebreakers.

  • All identifying information is removed during review to ensure fairness.
