PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE SEMINARS (PPS)
The Professional Practice Seminar (PPS) a mandatory professional development requirement for members of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC).
What is PPS?

PPS is a course that helps ensure members stay current with the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP), professional ethics, and legal responsibilities.

It's focused on case studies, real-world scenarios, and interpretation of standards and ethics.
How often do members complete PPS?

Members are required to complete the PPS every two years as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
Who needs to complete the PPS?

All designated members (e.g., CRA, AACI) and candidates must complete the seminar to remain in good standing.
What formats are available?

It’s offered online or in-person, depending on what's available at the time.
What is happening in 2025?

The 2024/25 cycle for PPS ended on December 31, 2024.

Only new candidates and reinstating members will need to take the PPS. It is only available online during the 2025 calendar year. Please see the options below.
